The mission of the St. Michaels Community Center is to enhance the quality of life and to fill the unmet needs of our community by:
Providing supervised program opportunities for the enrichment of our children and teens
Providing affordable recreational, social, educational and entertaining activities to allcommunity residents regardless of ethnic, gender or economic statusDeveloping partnerships with other non-profit groups and community-oriented organizations whenever possible

The mission of The Benedictine School is to assist individuals with disabilities in becoming as independent or semi-independent as possible; to make wise use of leisure time; and to live and work in a community setting.
The mission of Benedictine Adult Services is to see people with developmental disabilities living meaningful, productive, personally satisfying and well supported lives in the communities of their choice.
The mission of the Benedictine Foundation is to secure the financial resources needed to assure the future of the Benedictine School for Exceptional Children and its programs and services.

The St. Michaels Food Bank

The Community Food Bank provides nutritious, non-perishable foods for needy families of the Bay Hundred area.
Located in the Parish House of Christ Episcopal Chruch, across from Lea Library, the Food Bank is open Monday mornings (9 AM - 11 AM) and Thursday afternoons (3 PM - 5 PM) and is operated by volunteers.
Before Thanksgiving and Christmas, additional volunteers make up baskets of non-perishable goods and frozen turkeys. Members of Christ Church and St. Luke’s Methodist Church provide additional support.
Also, food and monetary donations are made by the St. Michaels’ Food & Wine Festival and by citizens and other organizations in Talbot County.

The Mid-Shore Council on Family Violence

As the central point of access for assistance on domestic violence within the counties of Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne's, and Talbot on Maryland's Eastern Shore, the mission of Mid-Shore Council on Family Violence is to create healthy opportunities to break the cycle of domestic violence through intervention and prevention by providing shelter, counseling, services, and advocacy for victims and abusers; and by changing society's attitudes and systems which permit and promote such violence against women, men and, families.

One of the charities supported by WineFest is El Hogar Projects, home to 250 abandoned, orphaned, and hopelessly poor children in Honduras. El Hogar rescues children from a life of hunger and desperation on the streets of Honduras. It enables them to break the cycle of poverty and unemployment by providing them with a home, a nurturing environment, education and a marketable trade.

“Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Inc. is dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and veterans through fly fishing and fly tying education and outings.” PHWFF was established in 2005 at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and is now operating programs at over 90 other veterans and military hospitals across the country.
